Scope of projects include:
- Working with our wealth management company, Pinion Wealth, to show a widow how she could make investment choices to sustain her current lifestyle as well as use wise planning, enabling her to pass $6 million more of assets to heirs at her death.
- Designing and implementing a comprehensive gifting plan using grantor trusts and charitable gifts so the entire $20 million estate will pass to family members and their favorite charitable organizations.
- Developing a financially sound succession plan for a profitable family business, including assisting the owner in evaluating the pros and cons of selling the $100-million business to an outside buyer, employee, or family member.
Growing up on a dairy farm in northwest Kansas, Loren Young developed a great work ethic milking cows and feeding calves every day. Loren was drawn to accounting due to his love of math and the orderliness of well-managed accounting systems. Within the firm, Loren plays a critical dual role, leading employee training on trust income tax and administration issues, and demonstrating the power of estate planning for Kansas families and businesses.
