As Pinion’s Innovation Leader, Alex Breitinger leads the firm’s effort to transform the way Pinion serves its clients. Utilizing the tools of automation, data science, and software development, Pinion’s Innovation Team is working to remove barriers and champion innovation for agricultural producers and end users.
Alex loves to pull together disparate groups like ag producers, accountants, and software developers who speak drastically different languages and find a common understanding and solution to meet their goals.
Prior to his work leading the firm’s Innovation Team, Alex served agricultural producers for over a decade through other roles involving data analytics, price benchmarking, and commodity risk management.
Alex grew up in Valparaiso, Indiana, a university town that sits in striking distance of the commodity markets in Chicago, the industrial Rust Belt, and Indiana’s Corn Belt. This background, along with work and education experience across the globe from China to Germany, underpin his ability to seamlessly cross over industries, cultures, and languages.
