Holly Salisbury, Principal, Pinion, LLC
Living and working in California–the hotbed for organic agriculture–and a lifelong passion for food, health, and wellness, make assisting organic food and agriculture companies a natural fit for Holly Salisbury. Her personal story is imbued with a strong belief in the power of food to positively affect the quality of life of both producers and consumers. When her own family was touched by illness, Holly performed exhaustive research into ways food could contribute to better health, deepening her connection to farming and food production.
Moving with the rising tide of organics, Holly saw early that she could contribute to the world in a meaningful way by helping existing farms convert or add organics to their portfolio and assist start-up ventures seeking to enter the industry. As she leads Pinion’s efforts to serve organic food and agriculture, Holly helps customers think differently so they can gain momentum quickly, operate efficiently, and increase value over time.
Like a controller or CFO, Holly consults with financial management and operations teams on everything from internal accounting practices to payroll service selection, making sure resources are optimized for growth. Working with fast-growing closely-held businesses, Holly identifies opportunities to grow businesses and meet goals whether through strategic planning and advice, accounting and tax-consulting, business acquisition, or business succession.
Holly designs and implements growth-oriented strategies for agricultural businesses, manufacturing businesses, software companies, physician practices, and other small businesses. Community colleges and governmental entities also rely on her guidance and direction. She discovers meaningful ways to measure and interpret data and then guides owners on how to use that information to increase their business’ productivity.
A heartfelt desire to work with both people and numbers attracted Holly to a career in accounting. (She was hooked from the time she placed in a high-school accounting competition.) Holly Salisbury moved to Redding after being exposed to every industry, size, and type of business at Deloitte & Touche in San Diego. She funnels her passion for helping organizations grow by cheerfully sharing her perspectives on a wide range of business topics–from uncovering new ways to save time and tax dollars to innovative ways that companies can strengthen internal controls.
